Unit 2: Journey on Relaxtion

Once I completed the Journey on Relaxation activity I felt relaxed and at peace for that small amount of time. I completed the activity on Sunday afternoon, it was cold, rainy and dark outside so my day was uneventful. I enjoyed this activity on Sunday because it allowed me to let go of all the stress that I build up weekly between school, work and other commitments. I believe that I dosed off toward the end of the activity because once I opened my eyes the journey was complete. I plan on listening to this journey each Sunday to prepare myself for the beginning of the week. I hope with time that this activity will allow me to naturally feel calm and at peace at all times.

  1. Hello Amanda, I am glad you had a great expeience listening to this exercise. It is great to have something you can turn on for 10 minutes or so that will help relax you. I personally thought it would have been more relaxing if the gentleman did not talk the whole time. The relaxition technique that works for me is when I can hear the ocean with the sea gulls in the back ground. There are so many different types of relaxation techniques and hopefully people can find one that works for them. Great Job and good luck in this class and the rest of your journey throughout life.

    1. Hi Amanda, it's a great exercise to spend time relaxing and focusing on the ocean or music. I think it's very healthy to spend time within yourself and getting to know your body and mind! Thank you! Kandi

  2. Amanda,
I am glad you found it beneficial. I also found it so relaxing, I almost fell asleep. I think it is a great idea to incorporate this exercise into your routine and prepare you for the week. Do you think you may find more time than just once a week to do this exercise?

  3. Hello Amanda,

I think it is great that you were able to follow this weeks exercise. I can muster myself to do any relaxation exercise even though I know it is good for all of us. Perhaps through practice, I might be able to get a relaxtion technique down.

    P.S. Love your photo..

  5. I too found it relaxing for a time. I was able to get my hands and arms to feel heavy, but I could raise them a little ways off the bed with effort.
